Eddie Brown was the son of Mr. Edward (Ned) Brown & Sarah Jane Bradford (nee Crooks) of Mullaghmoyle, Stewartstown. Sergeant Brown was serving as a Wireless Operator / Air Gunner with 224 Squadron, R.A.F Coastal Command. He was onboard the Hudson aircraft AM692 during a night patrol on 6th February 1942 along with four other crew. The Hudson failed to return from patrol and was posted missing.
