Patrick McCann was born at Ardtrea, Stewartstown and at the outbreak of the First War his family were living in Moneymore. He enlisted at Omagh, with the 8th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He was killed in action during the German Spring Offensive on the 21st March 1918. He has no known grave and he is commemorated on panel 38-40 on Pozieres Memorial, France.
