Joseph Logan was the eldest son of Patrick and Rose Logan. He was born on 28th February 1898 in the Bellaghy area. His father was a weaver. The family lived near Knockloughrim. Joseph Logan enlisted in Cookstown. Private Joseph Logan was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action in Belgium on 29th September 1918.

Joseph Logan was the eldest son of Patrick and Rose Logan. Patrick Logan married Rose McGurk on 15th December 1897 in the district of Magherafelt.
Joseph was born on 28th February 1898 in the Bellaghy / Maghera area.
The 1901 census lists Joseph as age 3, living with the family at house 24 in Broagh, Rocktown, County Londonderry. His mother, father and grandmother were all linen weavers.
The 1911 census lists Joseph, as age 14 living with the family at house 1 in Cabragh, Rocktown, County Londonderry. Joseph was still at school. His father was a weaver.

Joseph Logan enlisted in Cookstown. He was living in Knockloughrim, Co. Derry.

Private Joseph Logan was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action in Belgium on 29th September 1918.
In his will, Joseph left all to his mother, Rose Logan, who was living at Lemnaroy near Knockloughrim, Magherafelt.
Last Will and Testament of Private Joseph Logan dated 15th January 1917:
In the event of my death I give the whole of my property and effects to Rose Logan, mother, Lemnaroy, Castledawson, County Derry. Joseph Logan, Private 12080, 3rd Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, 15th January 1917.
Private Joseph Logan is buried in Birr Cross Roads Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.
